Join us for a movie screening of Backpack Full of Cash at 25 Broadway (the Teach For America Office). This documentary explores the growing privatization of public schools and the resulting impact on America’s most vulnerable children. The program will start at 1:00 PM, and conclude promptly at 4:00 PM.
We believe that those closest to the problem are closest to the solution. After the film, we will be hosting a series of house meetings to discuss our reactions to the film, and how we can take action to demand equity for the children of New York. That means we need students, parents, teachers, advocates and community members to make their voices heard; so please, invite the people in your life who should be in the room, as we map out a path to equity for our youngest New Yorkers.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Hosted by Organizing for Equity NY (OFENY). PRIVATE AND NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
